§ 20-9. Damages.

In addition to the penalties provided in section 1-11, upon conviction for an act of vandalism in violation of the provisions of this chapter in a park owned and operated by the township, a judgment shall be entered against the person convicted of the act of vandalism and in favor of the township for three times the amount of the damage caused by the vandalism as determined by the court. If two or more defendants are convicted of the vandalism, the judgment for damages shall be entered against them jointly and severally. If the defendant is a minor, the judgment shall be entered against his parents. The township may collect the judgment by execution or otherwise.
