§ 12-2. Statutory authority.

The legislature of the state has in Public Act No. 359 of 1947 (MCL 42.1 et seq., MSA 5.46(1) et seq.), as amended, authorized charter townships to adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety and general welfare of its citizenry.
