All fees assessed pursuant to section 10-68 shall be paid within 30 calendar days of service of the statement for such fees,
unless otherwise approved, in writing, by the township fire chief or his authorized
representative. Any person who fails to pay a fee assessed pursuant to section 10-68 within 30 calendar days of service of the statement for such fees shall be considered
in default. In case of default, the township may commence suit to recover the fees,
plus interest of one percent per month or part of a month during which the fee remains
unpaid, together with any other costs allowed by law.
